You know what annoy me? Scones.
The mixture is so crumbly unless you kneed it together.. 'do not over-kneed' becomes a problem.
I am on a quest to discover the perfect recipe for the perfect scones, or at least the perfect technique to make the perfect scones.
Around the corner from my place is a cafe, the woman who owns it makes the most fluffy, voluptuous rounds of scones you could imagine! They are currently looking for someone to work there.. maybe I could jump in and then grab a few tips while I'm there and then once I've got the skills.. ditch....
The only problem to that is I couldn't do it; I don't have the heart, nor the bother.
Okay so my mistake last time was accidentally using plain flower, and only realising once it was too late to put baking powder in.. this time I think they were over kneeded, but they're not that bad.. just not..
