excitement

I have to make an announcement to the world, or at least to the amount the reads what I have to say.
Today I worked out for about 3 hours, of which consisted of running at 80-98% of my max heart rate a lot of the time and walking at a moderate intensity for about 2/7ths of the time. I worked out that on average, I probably burned around 800 calories! WWWOOOOO!! :D I also did some bum work outs, push ups and sprinted for about 70m. So in the end I think I jogged/walked for 10.7km!!
I feel so refreshed and alive, not to mention sssooooo hungry!!
Indian food tonight :) YEESSSS
I think I got a bit of a tan too ;) but a 'healthy' one.. ALWAYS WEAR SUNSCREEN :D

All I can say is, it is so refreshing to get out in the parks with your best friend, venting about anything at all, laughing at heaps of embarrassing things and memories and plunging into the 'rhythm of the night' -pun intended with the song- or rhythm of the steps should I say. and working out with someone is amazing, it makes you work so much harder, yet you don't feel as tired.
All too often we're too easy on ourselves, our lack of will power gets the better of us and we end up going for a run but then pacing ourselves into a brisk walk, and an hour turns into 45 minutes if you're lucky because you start trying to count down the amount of time its taken you to run as if its a chore!
I mean, of course I'm sure we've all been in the situation where exercise has been a chore, but once you get into it, not only does your body reach plateau, but your mental state towards exercise does too! And in fact it your enthusiasm even increases! It's amazing, all these endorphins and others powerful happy hormones and energy has got me begging for more! Not to become an endorphin junky or anything, but it makes me wonder how I've ever put off exercise in the past, why I did see it as a chore.
To begin with I got into exercise to look better, but now, its to feel better. To release emotional and physical toxins out of my body and indulge in the loving breeze the world gives to replenish ourselves with!
