excuses, excuses, excuses

Why the excuses?

'Cleaning' seems to hold the majority of women back from doing things that are good for them.
It's like they're brought up with this idea that as a girl you are meant to be cheeky and a tease, as a lady you're meant to be charming and a super woman; the girl that blossomed into 'I-can-do-everything-without-any-help-at-all-woman'. And as a woman woman you're meant to suddenly realise that you had it all wrong and you feel like you cant be seen as that, so you start blaming other people (usually the husband) that they never help you (even though you always basically said that you didn't need help) and you put this ahead of what really matters- your overall happiness.
It isn't always the case, but most often it is a middle aged woman's weight and physical image that is the problem, it rubs onto her self esteem and she puts it onto others.
It was (most likely) definitely not your hasband's fault that you forgot to walk the kids to school and run back instead of driving 1km, nor was it his fault that when you went out with friends, your love handles were bulging out of those granny-pants that were sold to you by a very talented, attractive young woman who is still in the 'super woman' era.
After years of this, it's no wonder a man can end up feeling useless. He cant clean the kitchen pans properly, put the pegs on the right places, cook well or be the slightest bit helpful when it comes to new technology.
Things have changed dramatically biologically and mentally for you, but not for your husband. He's probably the same man he was when you met him; it's not his fault he will still crave sex until the age of 85 to the same extent that he did when he was 20. So what is really the problem here? His 20 year old penis or your degrading attitude towards fitness?
If your family encourages you to work out with them, don't say you don't have time or that 'you know you need to lose weight' and then don't do anything about it!
Stop cleaning that mirror! Your kids have moved out, your friends have probably too little eye sight to see the petty splatters of toothpaste and your husband probably doesn't look in it for very long or very hard. You're the only one that pays attention and it's costing you your self esteem.
Wiping that mirror is not going to wipe away the flabby stomach! Wiping your forehead after a kick-boxing class will!

So listen, stop making excuses! Whether or not you're single, saddle up and prepare for a ride of your life.. the one that will pounce on you as soon as you start caring about your body!
You know you want that extra kick of energy, immune response, self esteem, metabolism, bodily brilliance and happiness!

So hit the gym ladies, go to the beach for a swim, be on top more often or get dancing with your friends!!

YOU CAN DO IT!!!
